“Montessori 101″ Parent Course – August 23rd and 24th

ach year Seton offers a “Montessori 101” Course for Parents for parents, grandparents and caregivers with discussions about Montessori philosophy, child development, teaching techniques and ways to include Montessori in the home. The parents who have completed the course, given by the Seton faculty, have all been pleased to gain a deeper understanding of the Montessori philosophy, approach and materials. Discussions groups will be held at the Infant-Toddler, Early Childhood and Elementary level.

Montessori Children’s House encourages all parents to attend this course to assist in their understanding and support of their child(ren)’s development during these essential years of childhood. This year’s course will be held on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $15.00 per couple or individual and the fee includes a copy of the book, The Child: What Every Caring Parent Needs to Know, by Desmond F. Perry.

Childcare for children between 3 – 12 years old will be offered on Friday and Saturday (at a cost of $10 per child on Friday and $15 per child on Saturday).
