Letter from the Head of School

Whoever touches the life of the child touches
the most sensitive point of a whole which has roots in the
most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future.
—Maria Montessori

Dear Parents, Families, Teachers, Community Members, and Guests:

As Montessori educators, we see ourselves as fortunate for having the opportunity to work with young children and their families, as well as future Montessori educators as a Lab School for Seton Montessori Institute.

For forty years, our school has chosen to focus on this most important time in every child’s life – from before birth to age six – because it is the foundation from which the rest of their life experiences will grow. The Montessori approach offers so much to these youngest members of society that will help them to become engaged and enthusiastic about their experiences. Having been accredited by AMS, and ACA, we are proud to be an example of excellent early childhood education outside of the Montessori community as well as within.

At the Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington, our goal for each and every child is that, beyond supporting the academic, physical and emotional development that is necessary for success, we hope to instill a joy of learning that will affect their experiences well beyond the preschool years. What we want most for our children is that they become passionate about their own learning, and that they have the tools and skills necessary for them to pursue educational experiences as they grow and develop.

If you are a parent who is not yet a member of the Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington Community, let me take this opportunity to invite you to observe a Montessori classroom in action. Seeing the beauty of our indoor and outdoor facilities, our experienced teachers, as well as the buzz of active engagement going on in our classrooms. First hand observation is the best way to know for sure that our school is the right match for your child and family!

For our current families, as well as alumni, our website has features and flexibility that should help to connect our community through yet another avenue. Also, to get our email updates enter your email address above – this will allow you to receive reminders of upcoming events through the Internet and facilitate participation at Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington happenings…

On behalf of the world-class staff and faculty of the Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our website. We look forward to serving the needs of your children!

Sincerely,
— Anna Perry
